What colours do wardrobes come in?

Our wardrobes come in a range of different colours to suit whatever décor theme you’ve chose for your bedroom. If you prefer to shop our collection of wardrobes by colour, simply use the handy filters at the top of the page or follow one of the links below. Our most popular wardrobe colours include:

We also offer wardrobes in ash, cream, beige and brown. So, whatever your colour preference may be, we have plenty of choice on offer.

Some wardrobes also have mirrored doors. Not only useful when it comes to dressing, mirrored wardrobes can also help to make smaller bedrooms look bigger, by making them appear bright and airy, wider and more spacious.

How will I know which type of wardrobe I need?

Your wardrobe is a big investment and so it is important that you choose the right one to meet your needs.

You should check which wardrobe will best suit the space you have available, its ease of use, and what sort of wardrobe meets your storage needs. When considering your storage requirements for your wardrobe consider everything. From how much hanging space you need to whether there’s room for all of your footwear, you’ll want your investment to be able to tick every box.

Choosing a wardrobe with drawers gives you additional storage in your wardrobe for smaller items such as underwear, pyjamas or swimwear.

Ask yourself whether your wardrobe needs to have hanging space for clothes, shelves for footwear, sections for accessories or a combination of all of these.

If you are going to store dresses and long coats in it, look for wardrobes with a full length hanging space so that these items have space to be stored without getting creased.

You should also consider the size of the wardrobe.

Is a single wardrobe big enough or do you need a larger size? If you need a larger wardrobe, one with double or triple doors might be a better option.

Have a think about where you will put the wardrobe in your bedroom and remember, once it is built, it may be difficult to move.

How do sliding wardrobe doors work?

Sliding wardrobes have doors which open by sliding to the side on tracks and opening over each other, rather than opening outwards like some other wardrobes with hinged doors.

This means they can be opened and closed without obstructing any of the other objects in your bedroom, making them a great solution for smaller rooms.

Sliding wardrobes are modern and stylish, making a statement in your bedroom as well as offering maximum storage space. They’re also a good option for hallways and corridors. Our premium wardrobes also come with soft-close sliding doors.

What is a hinged wardrobe?

A hinged wardrobe is a more traditional wardrobe. The doors are fixed to the front with hinges.

This means that they open outwards, into the room. Hinged wardrobes are probably the most common type of wardrobe. Given that the doors can both be opened at the same time, a hinged wardrobe allows you a full view of the contents inside.

Do I have to assemble my wardrobe myself?

At Bensons for Beds we offer both options. Some of the wardrobes we offer require self-assembly, whereas some of them are delivered and assembled by us in the room of your choice. Others get delivered and fully assembled by professional furniture fitters. You can filter our wardrobes by assembly.

If you are not confident in building furniture or you have not tried it before then you may want to choose an option which is assembled by us.

Is there a guarantee on wardrobes?

Yes, the majority of our wardrobes come with a guarantee. At Bensons for Beds, we offer a minimum five year guarantee on all bedroom furniture, including wardrobes (but excluding products sold as ‘Clearance’ or ‘Ex-display’).

Which payment options are available?

At Bensons, we understand that a new wardrobe is a big expense. With this in mind, we offer several different payment options to make pay splurging a little more affordable. Buy a wardrobe with 0% interest-free finance, Buy Now Pay Later, or Klarna pay-in-3 and spread the cost into more manageable repayments.

Note: All financing options are subject to approval following a quick and easy credit check that can be completed online.
