What is BedGuard™?

Accidents happen, which is why Bensons for Beds wants to ensure you are protected from some of the more common everyday mishaps. BedGuard™ offers insurance coverage for various types of damage.

What does BedGuard cover?

  • Stains such as bodily fluids, water, or liquid marks caused by food, beverages or cosmetics.
  • Accidents caused by children, adults or visitors
  • Pet damage insurance - up to 3 incidents of pet damage (each occurrence must be reported within 10 days of each incident)
  • Burns from heated appliances such as straighteners or curlers
  • Rips and tears
  • Chipping or breakage of glass and mirrored surfaces

Should your bedroom furniture be damaged when covered by the BedGuard™ insurance, every attempt will be made to repair and restore your item or items. If your bed or qualifying bedroom furniture cannot be repaired, we may offer alternative solutions such as new for old replacement of the damaged furniture, a credit note, or a cash option.*

Does BedGuard™ include pet damage insurance?

Who can resist cuddling up with one or more furry friends at bedtime? However, as any pet owner knows, pets can sometimes have little accidents that damage your bedroom furniture.

 

You needn’t banish your pooch from the bedroom just yet, as one of the areas included in our BedGuard™ Care Plan is pet damage insurance. The accidental pet damage insurance element of BedGuard™ includes up to 3 incidents of pet damage (each occurrence must be reported within 10 days of each incident).

 

What is NOT covered by BedGuard™

It’s just as important to know what types of incidents are NOT covered by the BedGuard™ Care Plan, as it is to know which types are included.
  • Any structural or manufacturing problems
  • Damage caused in storage or transit
  • Motors, Electrical components including the electrical mechanisms for Adjustable beds, and TV’s and their associated components**
  • Products used for rental or commercial purposes
  • General wear and tear
  • The accumulation of multiple stains

When considering the cost of BedGuard™, please remember that you will receive a complimentary care kit and when your purchase includes a mattress, a high quality mattress protector is included per mattress.

Once your items have been delivered you will receive a certificate of insurance via email, or if preferred, via post. The certificate of insurance shows which items are covered and how to make a claim.
